Service Offerings
Project Planning and Maintenance

1. Standard maintenance per quarter
Standard maintenance includes:
Inspection of the system in terms of functioning
Inspection of safety-related conditions
If applicable, oil level check
Wearing part check
If necessary, renewed instruction through the service technician
Further procedure following maintenance order
The customer makes an appointment with Europress Anlagen und Maschinenbau GmbH every six months. Consequently, the service includes 2 field service appointments per year (billing is carried out according to maintenance and repair order).

2. Appointment arrangement
We will generally advise you of our mechanic’s arrival two weeks prior to the respective date. If the particular date doesn’t suit you, you must cancel in writing 7 days prior to the maintenance appointment. If you fail to do so, you will be charged for the costs incurred (see maintenance and repair order).

3. Preparation
The machines must be in an emptied and cleaned condition and accessible to the mechanic for maintenance. Superstructures or additional components which impede maintenance work must be removed prior to the mechanic’s arrival. If necessary, the machines must be detached from the platform. Waiting times for our mechanic arising from the mounting and dismounting of equipment are billed separately.

4. Spare parts
The mechanic suggests any necessary replacement of wear and tear parts or damaged parts to the customer who then places the replacement order. The prices in effect on the day of delivery apply to the delivery of the new spare parts.

5. Acceptance
After the completion of the maintenance work, the equipment is demonstrated in its operation. The customer confirms by signature that the service was carried out, that the equipment functions properly, and, if applicable, that defective parts were replaced and repairs carried out. If no one authorized to sign the acceptance is available at the time of acceptance, the signature of the mechanic is sufficient.

6. Repairs
If reconditioning and repair costs arise at the plant, the customer is presented an offer which must be authorized and signed by the customer. Any arising costs as well as the costs for shipping and transport are at the customer’s expense and are billed separately.

7. Service contractors
EUROPRESS explicitly reserves the right to entrust service obligations to a regional authorized repair shop. The customer is always informed thereof, and the name of the respective company must be given to the customer. Billing for the services takes place through EUROPRESS.

8. Lapse of the right to claim under guarantee for systems by EUROPRESS
Repairs and work on systems not carried out by the service mechanics of EUROPRESS or by an authorized repair shop commissioned by EUROPRESS result in the release of EUROPRESS from its obligations concerning the customer’s right to claim under guarantee. (Any work serving the maintenance of the guarantee, any necessary retightening of hydraulic fittings according to the appropriate operating hours, and the cleaning of the press chambers are excluded from this.)

9. Costs

10. Terms of payment
Immediately after issuing of invoice, net without discount

11. Duration of contract, termination, and terms of payment
The service and maintenance contract is entered into for the duration of one year. The validity period begins on ___________________. The contract automatically renews each time for one additional year unless one of the parties terminates the contract in writing three months prior to the expiration of the one-year period.

The right to termination without notice due to an important reason remains unaffected.
In addition to the aforementioned conditions, the General Terms and Conditions of Europress Anlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH apply.

12. Place of jurisdiction
Should any civil dispute arise from this contract, the place of fulfillment, the domicile of EUROPRESS Anlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH in Lathen, will be the place of jurisdiction.
